Pregnancy Sleep Position Tracker | Side-Sleep Habits Without a Camera
Dovy Paukstys
Founder, Komori Care
Later in pregnancy, many clinicians talk about side-sleeping as a sleep habit — going to sleep on your side, and rolling back to your side if you wake on your back. This page compares consumer gadgets that log or nudge sleep position. It is wellness information, not obstetric advice, and not a diagnostic or fetal-monitoring tool. Ask your own clinician what applies to you.
Disclosure: I am Dovy, founder of Komori Care. Contactless bedside radar for sleep position, coming 2027, wellness only, not FDA-cleared, not obstetric monitoring. Komori Lite $399, Komori with base $799. One-press top button cuts sensing. Optional camera records to an encrypted SD card.
Quick answer
- Pregnancy Coach ($219 sale / $259 regular, store.pregnancycoach.com): Clip-on wearable that vibrates when you spend time on your back. Includes one year of membership. The company cites a Mayo Clinic user-experience study and says back-sleep time fell about 80% in that group. Mayo's public listing describes an observational usability study (protocol 16-006414), not a published randomized efficacy trial. The product is marketed as general wellness and is not FDA-cleared.
- ORO side-sleep sensor (£220, oromed.co.uk): Vibration sensor worn in the included maternity bras. Vendor bundle is 3 bras, 3 briefs, and one sensor. CE-marked per the vendor. Frame it as a side-sleep habit reminder — we are not repeating their medical marketing language here.
- Muse S Athena ($474.99 MSRP, choosemuse.com): EEG + fNIRS headband. Sleep position is a secondary feature (Muse and a Tom's Guide review mention it). Built for meditation and sleep-stage tracking, not as a pregnancy position tool.
- Komori Care (coming 2027): Camera-free position timeline, no wearable. Wellness only. Not obstetric monitoring.
Pillow wedges and a conversation with your clinician remain the no-gadget path.
Sleep habits, not medical claims
We are not going to tell you a tracker protects a pregnancy. Position data can make a habit visible — how much of the night you spent on your back versus your side — the same way a sleep log makes bedtime visible. Waking on your back and rolling over is a normal night for most people.
If a vendor's page leads with fetal-risk language, treat that as their marketing, not as a reason to skip your clinician.
Pregnancy Coach
Small magnetic clip sensor plus an app. Customizable vibration. Nightly position reports. $219 introductory / $259 regular on the official store, with one year of membership included. Renewal for a later pregnancy is $99 for one year inside the app, per their FAQ.
Company claim: a Mayo Clinic study showed about 80% less back sleep. Independent read: Mayo lists a closed observational user-experience study meant to precede a larger efficacy trial. We are not calling this "Mayo-validated treatment."

ORO side-sleep sensor
UK vendor OROMED sells a bra-worn vibration sensor. Current bundle price we found: £220. Vibration when you stay on your back; vendor describes a grace period then a stronger buzz. No app required. CE marking is the vendor's claim.
We use "side-sleep sensor" on purpose. Their storefront name is more medical than this site will repeat.

Muse S Athena
$474.99 hardware MSRP. EEG sleep stages plus optional meditation library. Position tracking is not the reason to buy it. If you already wanted Muse, position is a bonus line in the spec sheet.
Komori Care (coming 2027)
Overhead + nightstand radar for a back/side/stomach timeline. Nothing to clip on. One-press top button cuts sensing. Optional camera to an encrypted SD card. Lite $399, with base $799. Coming 2027.
Not cleared for pregnancy use. Not fetal monitoring. Not a vibration-nudge device — we are not inventing that feature. Waitlist.

FAQ
Do I need a tracker during pregnancy? No. Many people use a pillow and a habit. A gadget is optional.
Will a regular ring or watch label back vs side? Usually not. Movement and stages are not a position timeline. See why wearables miss sleep position.
Is Pregnancy Coach FDA-cleared? The company says it is marketed as general wellness and is not FDA-cleared.
Is Komori available now? No. Coming 2027. Wellness only. If you want a shipping position nudge, Pregnancy Coach or ORO are the consumer options we could verify.
